Linda Noskova sets up an all-Czech final with Karolina Muchova at Wimbledon 2026 after defeating Marta Kostyuk in straight sets on Centre Court

Linda Noskova reached her first Grand Slam final with a dominant straight-sets victory over Marta Kostyuk.

The 21-year-old ninth seed set up an all-Czech showdown for the title with Karolina Muchova courtesy of a 6-4 6-4 victory on Centre Court.

A tight opener came to an abrupt end as Kostyuk double faulted on the second of three break points in game 10 to gift a 42-minute set to her opponent.

The Ukrainian looked a shadow of the player that had won 22 of her previous 23 matches, but she found another gear from 3-1 down in the second set to level.

There was a sense of déjà vu as Kostyuk served to stay in it and the pressure again told as Noskova broke on her second match point to seal victory on one hour and 19 minutes.

Noskova wants to end this right now and the ‘go big or go home’ mentality sees her press to 15-30.

Kostyuk can’t find the island with the heat on and she coughs up two match points.

The Ukrainian saves one with a super, drive volley but again flashes wide with a stray crosscourt attempt on the second ... and we will have an all-Czech final on Saturday!

It’s déjà vu as Noskova races back from 0-15 to clock up the hold for the loss of one point and apply the scoreboard pressure.

Last time, Kostyuk buckled, so can she find a way to handle it better to keep her title dreams alive?

There’s a very real momentum shift now.

It looked like Linda was on a march to the final but Kostyk’s forehand has arrived late to the party and does all the damage in a convincing hold to 15.

Noskova gets back on track with a hold to 15 that she achieves with a clever crosscourt dropper.

It’s so good it has Marta charging into her chair and taking a moment or so to recover from the collision!

The Ukrainian is transformed as she wins a sensational all-court point with a backhand pass down the line before winning another wonderful rally with an angled volley at the net.

Linda just misses with a risky forehand down the line and Kosytuk fires down an ace to consolidate to love.

Linda gets back to basics by taking some heat off the first serve to hit her spots and race back from 0-30 down.

However, the Czech slips a timid forehand into the net to give Marta hope at deuce and then squanders game point.

The ninth seed’s imperious level has suddenly dipped and when she sends a drive volley long, Kostyuk senses her moment.

The Ukrainian back pedals into her left wing to unleash on an inside-out forehand winner to bite back and reignite her hopes.

Alarm bells ring for Marta as Noskova produces a superb, deep slice to repel a beastly first serve and get the Ukrainian in a tangle to cough up two break points.

The 12th seed can’t conjure up a rescue act and miscues a forehand to handover the break in the second.

Linda keeps finding that first serve and is up to 85 percent of points won when it lands.

Kostyuk can’t make an impression and the Czech pushes the board once again with a routine hold to 15.

Marta follows an ace down the T with a defiant roar as she returns to the board with a confident hold to 15.

The Ukrainian has been in spellbinding form over the last few months and will very much still believe she can come good here.

Noskova overcomes the blip of a double fault to hit back from 15-30 with the aid of a brave second serve and maintain her momentum at the start of Set 2.

Kostyuk blinks badly with a raft of unforced errors gifting Linda triple set point.

The Ukrainian staves off one but double faults on the second to end a competitive 42-minute opener on a sour note.

Noskova responds with a rampant love hold of her own and applies the squeeze on the board.

This has been such a keenly-contested opener with nothing between them so far, very much like their first set in Madrid (which Kostyuk won in a breaker).

Kostyuk races through a timely clean hold to ease level heading into the business end of this opener.

Noskova is pleased to see Kostyuk’s inside-in forehand fly into the alley to close a hold to 30 after a double fault had disrupted her run of big serve, big forehand combos.

Noskova looks rueful as she reaches to her left to cut out a Kostyuk pass down the line but angles her volley into the net.

It sees the Czech miss out on two break points, but she quickly works her way to one from Pulp as Marta lobs long under pressure.

The Ukrainian pounds down an ace to make deuce but is made to work for the hold before back-to-back 1-2 punches move her level on the board once more.

The Czech overcame Coco Gauff in a dramatic three-set battle on Centre Court prior to this second semi-final, and admitted she was 'shaking' as the reality of her achievement began to sink in.

Linda hammers a powerhouse serve down the T at Pulp (30-30) but balloons a plus-one forehand way off the island to extend the game.

The Czech struggles to find her first serve for much of the game and toils in the face-off around deuce but finally swats away an angled volley and a then lands that big, wide delivery to keep her nose in front.

Kostyuk’s forehand was quite literally purring in her win over Jasmine Paolini last time out, but it wobbles slightly mid-game here as Noskova hits back from 30-0 down to pose the first threat to the server of the match at deuce.

Marta stands firm from there, firing down two most welcome hefty serves to avoid any early blip.
