FOREST BRING THEIR FANS FESTIVE CHEER WITH RESOUNDING WIN
Nottingham Forest delivered their best performance to date under new boss Sean Dyche as they produced a superb all-round effort to defeat Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 at The City Ground and pull clear of the Premier League drop zone.
Forest looked the sharper side throughout the clash, with winger Callum Hudson-Odoi and midfielder Ibrahim Sangare to the fore in almost everything the hosts did as the pair combined for all three goals.
The first came after a defensive calamity between goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and Archie Gray. The Spurs keeper gave the midfielder a nightmare pass that immediately put Gray in trouble. He was dispossessed by Sangare, who ran at goal, then squared the ball for Hudson-Odoi to tap home the opener.
The second came five minutes into the second half as Hudson-Odoi cut in from the left flank and whipped a dangerous ball into the penalty area. It looked very much like it was intended as a back-post cross, but the pace and swerve on the delivery eluded everyone in the Spurs box, including Vicario, who totally misjudged the flight of the ball, as it whistled into the far corner of the net.
If there might have been an element of good fortune – and questionable goalkeeping – for Forest's second, there was absolutely no doubting the quality of their third. Again, Hudson-Odoi cut in from the left wing. But instead of shooting, he teed up the onrushing Sangare, who smashed an unstoppable swerving drive into the top corner of the net.
It was a brilliant strike, and one that served as a parting gift for the Ivorian midfielder, who will soon be heading off to represent his country at the Africa Cup of Nations.
It also capped off a superb team display that saw Forest outwork, outplay and outbattle a Spurs side who never really got into their stride.
The result lifts Forest up to 16th in the table, while Spurs are left in 11th as a busy run of fixtures during the festive period gets underway.

WHAT A GOAL!
Ibrahim Sangaré has just made it 3-0 with an absolute cracker of a strike.
Hudson-Odoi cuts in from the left flank, then plays it back for Sangaré, who thrashes an unstoppable shot into the top corner. A quite brilliant strike from a player who has had an excellent game in the middle of the park for the hosts.
The Ivory Coast international is about to head off to represent his nation at the African Cup of Nations, and he's just given his club side a hell of a going-away present.

FOREST FANS TAUNT SPURS FAITHFUL
With Forest 2-0 ahead and well on top, the fans have turned their attention to making fun of the Tottenham fans, each of whom was given a white and navy scarf upon arrival at their seats today.
"GET YOUR SCARVES OUT FOR THE LADS!"

BAD DAY AT THE OFFICE (SO FAR) FOR RICHARLISON
Tottenham's main striker has barely had a sniff at The City Ground so far.
After more than hour's play here, he's just had ONE TOUCH in the Forest penalty area.
It'll be very interesting to see whether Thomas Frank makes a change up front, or whether he opts to provide his Brazilian front man with more service.

JESUS AND HUTCHINSON GO CLOSE!
Forest are purring now.
This time is Igor Jesus, who drives into the penalty area and, from an angle, fires across goal.
Vicario looks beaten, but the shot whistles just wide of the far post.
Then, in the very next attack, the excellent Omari Hutchinson steps into range and fires a low effort just wide.

SHOT OR CROSS?
We think it was an over-hit cross. But the Forest social media admin seems adamant it was a piece of footballing genius from Hudson-Odoi.

FRANK PREPARING CHANGES
It was a slight surprise that Thomas Frank hadn't made changes to the Tottenham side at half-time. But now, with his side 2-0 down and with a mountain to climb, there's some significant activity on the Spurs bench.
Changes are imminent for the visitors.
