The 2025 Welsh Open is the next tournament on the snooker schedule, with 64 players set to battle it out at Venue Cymru in Llandudno.

Seven-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan has withdrawn, but star names such as Mark Williams and Mark Allen are in action.

The Rocket will be joined in the field by Kyren Wilson, Mark Selby, Mark Williams, Shaun Murphy and John Higgins.

Gary Wilson's bid to defend his title was ended by Ishpreet Singh Chadha, while world No. 1 Judd Trump will not be playing the tournament.

The last Welsh player to win the Welsh Open was Williams in 1999, when he beat Stephen Hendry 9-8 in the final.

The Welsh Open 2025 runs from Monday, February 10 to Sunday, February 16.

WHAT IS THE WELSH OPEN SCHEDULE?

The first round of the Welsh Open is played on Monday and Tuesday.

The quarter-finals are set for Friday, with the semi-finals on Saturday and the final on Sunday.

Matches will be best-of-seven frames up to and including the fourth round.

The quarter-finals will be best-of-nine frames, the semi-finals best-of-11 frames and the final will be best-of-17, played over two sessions.
