Four more Serie A clubs join AC Milan in race to sign Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund this summer - Paper Round

Tuesday’s Paper Round leads on Rasmus Hojlund, the Manchester United striker wanted by AC Milan and now another four Serie A clubs. United are prepared to sell him for £30-40 million. Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur could sign Manchester City winger Savinho, Everton can buy Jack Grealish permanently next summer for £50m, and Newcastle United want Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss.

Five Serie A clubs have made enquiries with the representatives of Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund, The i Paper reports.

The former Atalanta striker looks set to return to Italy this summer, with United having signed Benjamin Sesko last week.

AC Milan were viewed as the frontrunners, and now Internazionale, Roma, Juventus and Napoli are also said to be interested.

The i Paper adds: "Hojlund has insisted that he is willing to stay and fight for his place.

"But United are still keen to do more business in the transfer market before the window closes at the end of the month, and funds must be freed up.

"An offer of between £30-40m would be enough to persuade the club to cut their losses on a striker who has failed to live up to the £72m price-tag United paid Atalanta for the Dane two years ago."

Savinho to Spurs?

Manchester City have opened talks with Tottenham Hotspur over the possible sale of winger Savinho, the Telegraph reports.

City are said to be reluctant to lose the player but are aware of a need to reduce their squad size before the transfer window closes.

City are expected to demand £50 million, a year on from signing him for £35m, while Savinho is said to be worried about game time after Rayan Cherki joined from Lyon - making Spurs a likely destination.

The Telegraph adds: "The north London club are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements after the departure of Son Heung-min to Los Angeles FC and the recent serious knee injury sustained by James Maddison. New manager Thomas Frank’s two main arrivals this summer are Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha.

"A pursuit of Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White failed last month, and Tottenham have now switched attention to versatile attacker Savinho, but discussions with City are at an early stage.

"Savinho played 48 times in his debut campaign under [Pep] Guardiola, mainly on the right wing, where he scored three times and delivered 13 assists. If an agreement can be reached between the two clubs, Savinho could be a natural replacement for Tottenham’s former captain Son."

Grealish’s fee next summer

Jack Grealish will be available for £50m next summer after Everton agreed a deal to sign the Manchester City winger on loan with the option to buy, the Telegraph reports.

Everton agreed terms with City on the weekend and the move should be confirmed soon as Grealish targets a return to England’s plans ahead of the World Cup.

The Telegraph adds: "Everton opened talks with City over a possible deal to sign the 29-year-old and a pay structure has been settled between the two clubs. The move has an option to make it permanent next summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £50m.

"It brings an end to a frustrating period for Grealish, at least temporarily, who has been frozen out by Pep Guardiola, the City manager."

Newcastle eye El Khannouss

Newcastle United could trigger Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss’ release clause this week, the Telegraph reports.

The Morocco international could return to the Premier League this summer as Eddie Howe looks to bolster his squad before the season starts.

The Telegraph adds: "Signed for a fee of around £19.5m from Belgian club Genk last August, El Khannouss has a clause that can be activated following Leicester’s relegation to the Championship.

"It is understood that the price is more than £30m and expires later this week, so Newcastle are now accelerating their interest.

"Leeds United have also displayed interest in the attacking midfielder, who played the full 90 minutes of Leicester’s victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday. He also provided both assists for the goals scored by Jannik Vestergaard and Wout Faes."
