"Newcastle are braced for a formal offer from Liverpool for Alexander Isak this week after Eddie Howe revealed there is no chance of their want-away striker joining the squad here in the Far East," reads the article.
"Isak wants to join Liverpool and, with the Premier League champions set to bank £65 million from the sale of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich, an official approach is now expected.
"That will leave Newcastle's owners with a decision to make, as Howe admitted this weekend. They must choose between negotiating and extracting maximum value for the player, or refuse all offers and tell Isak he is staying. Even within the camp here in Singapore, opinion is split as to which approach is best for the club.
"The message from above remains that they want to keep their best players, but Isak making it clear he wants to go could force the owners into making a business decision, especially if Liverpool's offer approaches £150 million."
Sesko prefers Man Utd over Newcastle
The Standard reports that RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko would rather join Manchester United over Newcastle.
Sesko had been linked with a move to Arsenal before they completed the signing of Viktor Gyokeres.
But it appears he may still be destined for a move to the Premier League with The Red Devils and Newcastle set to battle it out for his signature.
"If [Alexander] Isak was to depart, Sesko has been earmarked as a direct replacement, with The Athletic claiming Newcastle hold a long-term interest in the in-demand striker," states the outlet.
"When negotiating with Arsenal, Leipzig were hoping to land a fee between £68m and £85m. That price is said to have dropped now, with offers of £60.6m (€70m) now considered viable.
"Newcastle would be confident of having an advantage over Man Utd in a direct battle for Sesko's signature given they can offer Champions League football next season, while Ruben Amorim’s side are not in any European competition.
"That does not appear to be the case, though, as German journalist Guido Schafer says Sesko has already signalled his preference to move to Old Trafford over St James' Park."

Blues set to sell Felix
Chelsea are set to sell Joao Felix to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr, claims The Sun.
The Portugal international joined The Blues in a £45 million deal in August 2024 but then left on loan in February 2025, to play for AC Milan.
He could be one of many players Chelsea are prepared to sell this summer.
"Chelsea have agreed a staggering £43.7 million deal to send unwanted Joao Felix to Al Nassr," reads the report.
"Benfica had been interested in agreeing a return for Felix, though they were waiting for Chelsea to drop their asking price - allowing Saudi side Al Nassr to swoop.
"The Portugal international is one of many Chelsea are looking to sell this summer."
The outlet reports Nicolas Jackson, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga, Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell could also leave the club.
