Napoli consider Sterling as Ndoye alternative

According to Italy’s Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are considering signing Raheem Sterling from Chelsea if they are unable to secure the services of their primary target, Dan Ndoye.

Ndoye has also been the subject of interest from Premier League club Nottingham Forest, with Bologna having reportedly already rejected a €30 million (£26m) bid for the Switzerland international’s services.

The outlet said: "While waiting to see what will happen with Bologna regarding Dan Ndoye, Napoli is starting to evaluate a new attacking prospect: Raheem Sterling, who is on his way out of Chelsea.

"The English winger is a key alternative to the Swiss international, who had a great season in Serie A last year.

"The Swiss player from Bologna currently appears to be very attracted to the Premier League and therefore to the prospect of joining Nottingham Forest.

"However, a financial agreement with Bologna has yet to be reached - the English club's €30 million offer was rejected. Bologna also rejected Napoli's more substantial offer, which went as high as €35 million + €5 million for the player."

Chelsea ‘need to dig deep’ to secure Hato signing

Dutch publication De Telegraaf has claimed that Ajax are hoping for a transfer fee in the region of €55m (£47m) to €60m (£52m) for the services of centre-back Jorrel Hato.

Chelsea are said to have been interested in the player since December, while Arsenal and Real Madrid have previously considered signing the 19-year-old.

The publication said: "It's clear the Londoners will have to dig deep to close the deal. Sources close to Ajax report that the club is targeting a transfer fee between €55m and €60m.

"Chelsea's interest didn't just happen overnight, but has been simmering for months. An initial attempt to lure Hato from Amsterdam was even made in December. However, the world champions were caught up in Financial Fair Play regulations and had to sell players before taking concrete steps. That has now happened.

"Hato, who is under contract at the Johan Cruyff ArenA until the summer of 2028, is considered one of the brightest prospects in Europe and was previously coveted by Arsenal and Real Madrid.

"But The Blues want to stay ahead of the competition and sign Hato. The personal terms of the left-back, who can also play as a central defender, still need to be discussed. Despite his young age, the six-time Netherlands international has already played 111 matches for Ajax."

Bayern to make new Diaz bid

Liverpool have spent nearly £300m so far this transfer window, after signing Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong.

With it having been widely reported that The Reds also maintain an interest in Newcastle's wantaway striker Alexander Isak, Liverpool will likely need to balance the books by sanctioning departures this summer.

And according to French publication Foot Mercato, Bayern Munich are preparing to submit a second bid for Liverpool wide-man Luis Diaz.

The outlet said: "According to our information, Bayern Munich will return with a new offer. In the coming hours, the German club will offer a cheque for €70m, plus bonuses.

"This is an opportunity to try to persuade Liverpool, who are expecting around €80 million in this deal."
