"These conditions primarily involve having a say in signings, but above all, having the full backing of the president in all sporting decisions. In other words, having complete control to avoid what happened with Xabi Alonso and Arbeloa.

"Mourinho will sign a two-year contract, until 2028, and the deal won't be made official until after the election period.

"If Florentino Perez is the sole candidate, the Portuguese manager's signing would be announced after the current president's election. If there are elections, everything will depend on the outcome, specifically whether Florentino Perez wins or not."

Bayern Munich are reportedly considering a huge summer transfer for Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol.

German publication Bild have reported comments made by Bayern legend Lothar Matthaus, who still has very close links to the club.

He told Sky Germany that the Bundesliga champions have already made "initial enquiries" to sign the Croatia international.
