Vardy netted 200 goals in 500 appearances for Leicester, including a double-figure haul seven times in the Premier League, while he has also been capped 26 times by England.
"This isn't retirement," Vardy said when he announced he was leaving Leicester. "I want to keep playing and doing what I enjoy doing most, scoring goals.
"I may be 38 but I've still got the desire and ambition to achieve so much more."
Vardy has signed a deal with Cremonese until June 30, 2026, and there is the option for the club to trigger an extension if certain conditions are met.
From taking part in non-league football to playing a pivotal role in Leicester’s remarkable against-the-odds Premier League triumph in 2015/16, Vardy has enjoyed a stellar career.
He also boasts an FA Cup win and several individual accolades. Vardy was voted the 2015/16 Premier League Player of the Season and FWA Footballer of the Year, while he also won the Premier League golden boot in 2019/20.
