Prospective Barcelona president Xavier Vilajoana claimed this week he would make signing Harry Kane a priority if he were to be elected next month, but the striker himself says he is fully committed to the cause at Bayern Munich, despite being flattered by the interest. Kane scored twice in Bayern's 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday which extended their Bundesliga lead to eight points.

Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane labelled the reported interest from Barcelona as a "compliment" when asked about it after his side's 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.
Kane scored his 28th Bundesliga goal of the season as Bayern temporarily extended their lead ahead of a meeting with second-place Borussia Dortmund next week.
Xavier Vilajoana, a candidate in the forthcoming presidential election at Barca, has openly expressed his admiration for the 32-year-old striker and admitted he would look to sign him, were he elected.

And asked about the comments on Saturday, Kane told reporters: "I haven’t heard anything about it. My father and brother handle everything, but they haven't said anything to me.
"As I’ve already said, I’m very happy here at Bayern. I’m focused on this season and my time at Bayern. I take it as a compliment."
The England captain, whose contract at Bayern expires in 2027, remains an integral part of Vincent Kompany's side and his latest brace keeps him on track to eclipse Robert Lewandowski's Bundesliga record of 41 goals in a single season.

Lewandowski is now banging in the goals for Barcelona, who he joined from Bayern in 2022 but, now 37, is heavily expected to leave Camp Nou at the end of the campaign.
And Vilajoana, who is one of four candidates seeking to take control at the Barcelona, with the elections taking place next month, has suggested he would like the man who replaced the Poland forward at the Allianz Arena to replace him again in Catalonia.
In putting forward his case to become the club's new president, he told ESPN this week: "We've already made some contact, and I think he's a player who would be a great fit, pending his contractual situation: it's Harry Kane.
"Kane is a centre-forward who would fit in perfectly with our style of play. He's a striker who is capable of dropping back to link up with his team-mates.
"He is also capable of playing as a pure No. 9, a killer, a finisher. He is a player who brings mobility. He also performs well when teams sit deep. He would add a lot of value to Barcelona's game."
Kompany not offering clarity on Jackson future
Meanwhile, Bayern manager Vincent Kompany has responded to reports that Nicolas Jackson could be sent back to Chelsea at the end of the season.
The Bavarians signed Jackson last summer on a season-long loan with the option to buy.

However, it has been reported that Bayern do not plan to sign Jackson permanently and that he will head back to the Blues at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old has only featured on 22 occasions this term in total for Bayern, who are now "unlikely" to pursue a permanent transfer, according to The Times.
Having not played against Frankfurt, the uncertainty over Jackson only intensified - and Kompany said after the match: "We enjoy having Nicolas Jackson with us. Any decision about the summer will be discussed with Nicolas himself and between the clubs.
"I don't have an answer now. The only thing I know is that we're very happy to have him."
