Sport Witness relays the story, stating: "Manchester United and Newcastle United are in the picture to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Ryerson in the summer.

"That’s according to Bild, who report Manchester United and Newcastle United have joined Barcelona in the transfer race.

"The right-back has starred for BVB this season, contributing 13 assists from 29 matches in all competitions. His statistics are one of the reasons that make the player more attractive in the market.

"The versatile defender has a contract until 2028. According to the report, he has a market value of €20m, affordable for Manchester United and Newcastle United."

Calafiori could depart Arsenal

Football Insider believes that Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori’s days at Emirates Stadium could be numbered.

After joining from Bologna, he made 19 appearances in the league last season, and has the same number so far in 2025/26.

The 23-year-old has been hampered by fitness concerns since his arrival at the club and now the club may cut their losses.

The website explains: "Arsenal will be open to letting Riccardo Calafiori leave the club at the end of the season amid ongoing concerns about his growing injury record.

"The 23-year-old remains a key part of Mikel Arteta‘s starting XI when fit, but the number of injuries he has suffered in a short time are becoming a problem.

"The Gunners have shown themselves to be ruthless when dealing with similar issues in the past, when Takehiro Tomiyasu saw his contract at the Emirates terminated.

"As a result, former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Arsenal will not rule out letting Calafiori leave should any offers arrive in the summer.

"Arteta is keen to have a reliable and deep squad available to him as his side hold ambitions of competing across all four competitions year after year."

Bayern will send Jackson back

Bayern Munich have no plans to complete a deal for Nicolas Jackson in the summer transfer window.

It would take £58.4 million to turn a loan deal into a permanent one after he left Chelsea for Germany.

The deal would be triggered if he exceeds a certain number of appearances, but his game time with the Bundesliga champions appears to be diminishing.

FootMercato writes: "Nicolas Jackson is expected to return to Chelsea this summer, as his loan spell at Bayern Munich failed to convince the German club to activate their option to buy.

"He arrived in Germany last summer on an initial loan of around €17 million (£14.8m), with an additional €67 million release clause triggered if the Senegalese international played a certain number of matches.

"However, Jackson did not meet those conditions: with only 22 appearances in all competitions, just seven of which exceeded 45 minutes, Bayern Munich do not appear ready to finalise the purchase, and the 24-year-old is therefore expected to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

"The former Villarreal striker, signed by Chelsea in 2023, had attracted interest from several clubs in Italy, Spain, and the Premier League before his move to Germany.

"While Chelsea have changed managers since his departure, Jackson could remain open to all options and consider his place in The Blues' project."

Sevilla target Vlachodimos deal

Odysseas Vlachodimos has impressed in his time at Sevilla since his arrival on loan from Premier League side Newcastle.

The 31-year-old never established himself at St James’ Park and has been able to secure regular minutes in La Liga, leading Sevilla to become keen on retaining him on a permanent basis.

Estadio Deportivo believes that the Spanish club hope to negotiate a reasonable fee for the experienced stopper given his age.

The website reports: "Greek goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos is possibly the only bright spot in Sevilla's erratic season.

"It is not surprising that there has been murmurs at the Sanchez-Pizjuan for weeks about the future of Vlachodimos, who arrived in Nervion on loan and for whom Sevilla FC does not have any type of purchase option.

"With a contract with Newcastle until 2028, both Vlachodimos and Sevilla understand that staying at the club beyond the summer won't be easy, as financial considerations will play a significant role. This applies to both the player and Newcastle, the club that own his rights.

"Sevilla are confident they can finalise the deal for a reasonable fee, considering the goalkeeper's age (31) and his market value of €5m according to Transfermarkt."
