Three PL sides track Gittens
Jamie Gittens is the latest Borussia Dortmund youngster to be linked with a big-money Premier League move.
The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham have all scouted the player of late.
The paper writes: "Dortmund value Gittens at €100 million (£83 million) and last year extended his contract until 2028.
"[Dortmund boss Nuri] Sahin calls him ‘brutally good at one-on-ones’ and it is little surprise that scouts of Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea have all been recent visitors at Dortmund games.
"There is a genuine belief in these parts that like Sancho, Bellingham, Ousmane Dembele, Christian Pulisic and Erling Haaland, Gittens will be a massive financial success for Dortmund when he moves on. All five of them were sold in excess of £50m by the age of 21."
Newcastle keen on Bakayoko
Newcastle are eyeing up some transfer business, and one name in the frame is PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko.
The winger is a target for January, though the Dutch side hope to keep him at least until the end of the season.
The Telegraph explains: "Newcastle United are tracking PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko ahead of January with the intention to sign at least one player to strengthen a squad manager Eddie Howe has warned is in danger of growing stale.
"The Belgium winger has featured prominently in recruitment meetings, but sources have acknowledged a deal in January will be extremely difficult as PSV are reluctant to lose one of their best players in the middle of a season.

"The 21-year-old is enjoying an impressive campaign in the Netherlands, with five goals and an assist in 14 Eredivisie appearances. Bakayoko has been watched by a number of top European clubs and is liked by all members of Newcastle’s recruitment committee, which includes Howe, who feel he would be a strong addition to the right side of their attack.
"PSV’s resistance means Newcastle may have to wait until the summer to make the move happen but their interest in Bakayoko is evidence of a shift in approach in their recruitment strategy.
"Although Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo and Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo have been extensively scouted and are very much admired, Newcastle do not have the £50-60 million needed in January to tempt either of their Premier League rivals to sell."
Arsenal consider Ashworth appointment
The surprise departure of Dan Ashworth from Manchester United might give Arsenal an opportunity.
After the announcement that Edu would leave the Emirates, Ashworth is in the frame as a replacement.
The Sun notes: "Manchester United have ditched the role of sporting director after their failed Dan Ashworth experiment.
"Sir Jim Ratcliffe axed Ashworth following Saturday’s 3-2 home loss to Nottingham Forest.
"Ashworth, now a target for Prem rivals Arsenal, was United’s first ever sporting director.
"Arsenal are assessing options to replace Edu as sporting director at the Emirates and Ashworth’s unexpected availability has caught their eye.
"Ashworth has a close relationship with Gunners managing director Richard Garlick, who is leading the search to land a new sporting director."
Rashford could be sold in January
Manchester United’s budget problems mean that they could consider selling Marcus Rashford.
The forward has struggled to match his best form, and Paris Saint-Germain are potential suitors.
The Mirror states: "Manchester United are ‘open’ to cashing-in on Marcus Rashford as Sir Jim Ratcliffe attempts to navigate a major issue.
"The Red Devils academy graduate is in the middle of a stuttering campaign in which he has scored just seven goals in 23 appearances in all competitions. That form comes after a season in which he netted on just eight occasions.
"Rashford still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford. The 60-time England international banks around £325,000-per-week.
"And that is one of the main reasons why The Red Devils are keen to cash-in on Rashford.
"Should they manage to get his lofty wages off of their shoulders, it could potentially give the club more manoeuvrability in the transfer market. Sir Jim Ratcliffe has laid particular importance on The Red Devils abiding by the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability spending rules since his arrival and a significant sale would greatly help.
"Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a move for Rashford in the past, while a move to Saudi Arabia could be an option."
