Rangers have appointed Danny Rohl as their new manager after the dismissal of Russell Martin earlier this month.
Rohl joins the Glasgow club after leaving Sheffield Wednesday by mutual consent back in July, just 12 days before the start of the season.
He replaces Martin, who was dismissed after winning just one of Rangers' seven Scottish Premiership matches in a tumultuous four months in charge.
Rangers also failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League during Martin's tenure and lost both of their UEFA Europa League games under his stewardship.
Upon Joining Rangers, Rohl said: "It is a huge privilege to be taking on the role of head coach at such an incredible club, recognised around the world.
"I know it has been a difficult start to the season, but there is still so much to play for in four competitions, and my staff and I will give it everything to reward the supporters and the club."
He continued: "We have no time to waste, we start straight away. I respect that trust is earned and understand we have to give the supporters confidence in what we are doing by showing it on the pitch from the start.
"The expectations are huge and I love this challenge because I set high standards for myself and the team too.
"I’m looking forward to meeting the squad and getting down to work ahead of Thursday’s game away to Brann."
Rohl took over at Sheffield Wednesday in October 2023, after the club had endured their worst-ever start to a season, and guided the club to a 20th place finish. He then took them to 12th in the Championship the following campaign.
It had been widely reported that the 36-year-old had been among those to have removed himself from the running at Rangers, with Steven Gerrard and Kevin Muscat said to have done the same.
Rohl was previously an assistant manager at RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich and with the Germany national team while he was in charge at Southampton between December 2018 and August 2019.
Rangers currently sit sixth in the Scottish Premiership with just one win from eight games, and take on Brann live on TNT Sports and discovery+ in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday.
