FC Pro World Championship gets underway at the Esports World Cup

Fans at the Esports World Cup got to witness the opening round of fixtures in the group stage of the FC Pro World Championship and MSC tournaments, while we had the second day of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and Teamfight Tactics.

In PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, we witnessed teams from Group A and Group C square off with Virtus.Pro finishing top of the day’s action after six series.

Team Vitality would follow in second, while in third it was DN Scoopers, with all three teams demonstrating their capabilities to be a threat for the title.

It means that after the first two days, Virtus.Pro are at the top of the leaderboard with 85 points, while Mith are in second with 79, and in third is Team Vitality with 72.

After the second day of action in Teamfight Tactics, we have seen the first four teams progress through the group stages from both Group A and Group B.

From Group A, Weibo Gaming and Wanin Flashwolves progressed after they beat Godlike Esports and Team Vision, respectively.

It means that the final two spots from this group to progress will be played out between Team Vision and T1, while the other fixture will see Godlike Esports face Movistar Koi.

Then in Group B we saw AG.AL and Virtus.Pro progress as they beat Zeta Division and Aurora Gaming, respectively.

Now Mouz and Nongshim Redforce will square off with Aurora Gaming and Zeta Division, respectively, in the lower bracket to progress in the competition.

On the first day of the MSC tournament, we watched four teams progress in the upper bracket as Team Vitality, Team Falcons PH, Team Vamos, and Team Spirit all progressed as they beat True Rippers, Guangzhou Gaming, Team Falcons Mena and Ignite Gaming, respectively.

Now, Team Vitality will square off with Team Falcons PH in the next round of the upper bracket, while Team Vamos will face Team Spirit.

True Rippers will face Guanghou Gaming in the lower bracket, with the pair of Team Falcons Mena squaring off with Ignite Gaming, with the losers facing elimination.

We also saw action in the FC Pro World Championship, and after the first day only seven players managed to secure two wins from as many fixtures.

Top of the leaderboard is Samugamer, with Milkalove in second, while third is Nassada after the first day of action.

The other four teams to secure two victories include Hhezers, Manbachoore, RBLZ Gaming, and Bonanno.
