Cycling’s biggest names will battle it out in Tuscany when the 20th edition of Strade Bianche gets underway on Saturday.
Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) stormed to victory in the men’s race last year despite having endured a crash with 50km of the route remaining.
Great Britain’s Tom Pidcock (Pinarello-Q36.5) finished in second place, ahead of Belgian rider Tim Wellens (UAE), who completed the podium in third.
The women’s race in 2025 saw Demi Vollering (FDJ United-Suez) come out on top, with Anna van der Breggen (SD Worx-Protime) taking second and Pauline Ferrand-Prevot (Visma-Lease A Bike) finishing in third.
This is the fifth stop on the 2026 UCI World Tour, following on from Omloop Nieuwsblad, where Vollering and Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Premier Tech) triumphed.

When is Strade Bianche 2026?
Strade Bianche takes place on Saturday, March 7, with both the men's and women's races taking place on the same day.
The women's race is first up from 10:15 GMT, and the men follow from 13:00 GMT.

Pogacar will be hoping to win Strade Bianche for the fourth time in his illustrious career when he returns to the scene of his 2025 triumph this weekend.
British star Pidcock will also be there, aiming to go one step further than he did 12 months ago.
Isaac del Toro (UAE) stormed to victory at the UAE Tour last month, and he will be back in action on Saturday.
Other star names like Wout van Aert (Visma) and Julian Alaphilippe (Tudor Pro Cycling) will also be part of the stacked line-up in Tuscany.

Like Pogacar, Vollering will be hoping to retain her title this weekend, but she is just one of a number of big names on the start list.
Elisa Longo Borghini (UAE) has also recorded a big win at the UAE Tour, and she will be included on the start list this weekend.
Noemi Ruegg (EF Education-Oatly), who came out on top at the Women's Tour Down Under earlier this season, will be involved, too.
